Togouchi 9 Year is a blend of malt and grain whiskies that have been aged for at least nine years. This Japanese whisky aged in oak casks contains around 40% malted barley. Its refreshing citrus notes balance out perfectly with the generous spicy and fruity notes.

Bright golden amber with a warm honey sheen and a sunlit copper edge.

Nose

Intense bouquet of sweet spices and ripe yellow fruit. Bright and inviting, it carries orchard warmth with a subtle touch of aging oak, inviting curiosity about the depth to come.

Palate

Fresh and dry on the palate, bright citrus interlaces with warming spices across a crisp, light body; lemon and orange zest mingle with subtle oak, finishing with a clean, peppery glow.

Finish

Vibrant and lingering, the finish pairs bright citrus with spice, then threads in peat smoke for a lasting, warming glow.

Togouchi
Togouchi is the whisky name used by Sakurao Brewery and Distillery in Hiroshima. The company has made alcoholic drinks in Sakurao since 1918, established Sakurao Distillery in 2017, and released single malt Togouchi in 2021. The name comes from Togouchi, the mountain area now part of Akiota, where casks are matured in cellars and tunnel storage at the foot of Mount Osorakan rather than at the distillery itself.
