We finish our blended Japanese whisky in casks used to age sake - brewed by us to create our Blended Japanese Whisky SAKE CASK FINISH. The mellow sweetness and acidity of pure rice sake gives an estery aroma to the whisky.

Green apple and spice rise in a bright, estery bouquet, a lively echo of the sake cask finish. Crisp fruit with a peppery lift and a gentle warmth, delivering a poised, orchard-bright nose.

Palate

Sweet melon and Muscat grape flavors rise on the palate, carried by a crisp white-wine acidity that lends freshness and balance.

Finish

A sweet, delicate fragrance lingers, lifted by white-grape acidity, with a softly malty warmth that carries through the finish.

Togouchi
Togouchi is the whisky name used by Sakurao Brewery and Distillery in Hiroshima. The company has made alcoholic drinks in Sakurao since 1918, established Sakurao Distillery in 2017, and released single malt Togouchi in 2021. The name comes from Togouchi, the mountain area now part of Akiota, where casks are matured in cellars and tunnel storage at the foot of Mount Osorakan rather than at the distillery itself.
