Distilled at Japan’s highest distillery in Shinshu and the new make travelled about 860 km southwest to Tsunuki, a new distillery in Kagoshima, which lies in the southernmost in main island of Japan.
Average temperature in Tsunuki is about 8 °C higher than Shinshu. Whisky aged in Tsunuki feels like longer matured whisky more than actual age.
Mars Komagatake Tsunuki Aging 2019 is a combination of Bourbon Barrels, American White Oak Puncheon and Sherry Hogshead.

An enduring, generous finish that lingers with orchard citrus and soft sweetness fading into toasted almond and vanilla. Subtle sherry notes weave through, while a kiss of oak spice and warm whisky glow coats the palate, inviting another sip.
