Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu On The Way 2024 is the fourth release in this series of single malt whiskies from Chichibu in Japan. This series shows a snapshot of the current whisky style at the distillery whilst they are “on the way” to an ongoing ten year-old release.
This whisky has bright and elegant notes of kumquat, peach, and sweet vanilla, with a touch of honey and citrus peel. On the palate is a richness from the barley along with a creamy character, displaying hints of ripe peach and plum. The finish is long and elegant with plum and biscuit characters, ending with orchard fruits.

Nose
Bright, elegant aroma of kumquat and peach, wrapped in vanilla sweetness with a delicate honeyed lift and citrus peel. A hint of orchard fruit rounds the bouquet.
Palate
Rich barley sweetness with a creamy mouthfeel, hints of ripe peach and plum, a citrus-kissed backdrop, and delicate vanilla with honey accents.
Finish
Long and elegant, the finish lingers with plum and biscuit, slowly fading into bright orchard fruits.
