Tasting Notes
Colour
Luxuriously dark amber with coppery highlights and mahogany edges.
Nose
Sherry-kissed Brora opens with dense peat and coastal brine, a maritime glow that carries warmed figs, prune, and treacle. Dark chocolate and toasted oak frame the sweetness, while iodine, sea-salt and a touch of leather whisper through the smoke.
Palate
Supple and richly sherried, this Brora coats the palate with dark plum and fig, layered over cocoa, toffee and dried fruit. Briny peat and a coastal smoke weave through velvet oak, while spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg lift the sweetness. Full-bodied and warming, with a long, decadent finish of espresso-dark chocolate, orange zest and a whisper of salt.
Finish
Long and opulent, the finish unfolds with dark dried fruit, cocoa and toffee, lifted by a whisper of sea salt and peat. The single-sherry-cask influence lingers in mocha-spiced warmth, orange zest and balsamic notes, gradually fading to toasted oak and a refined mineral dryness.
