Colour
Deep sunlit amber with copper-gold highlights and a honeyed, mahogany-tinged edge.
Nose
Salted coastal air and peat smoke rise from the glass, with iodine and sea spray weaving through waxy, medicinal notes. Subtle sherry, orange zest, and leather surface alongside toasted almond and vanilla warmth. Maritime, refined and quietly powerful, Brora’s 19-year-old nose speaks of age, cask, and distant Highland shores.
Palate
Bold maritime peat coats the palate, with salted brine and mineral depth giving way to rich sherry-cask fruit—fig, raisin and dark cocoa. A silky sweetness from the cask threads through toasted oak, then cool coastal smoke and spice linger into a long, refined finish.
Finish
Long, peaty and maritime, the finish coats the palate with coastal smoke and iodine, evolving into rich sherried fruit, dark chocolate and toasted oak. A warm, resinous linger persists, slowly fading into refined, silky sweetness.
