Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Powerful peat and a sea-salted bouquet rise from the glass, framed by waxy malt and iodine. Sherry-flecked richness threads through dried fig and raisin, with whispers of leather and mineral depth—an elegant maritime smoke that speaks Brora’s legendary character.
Palate
Full-bodied and silken, this Brora coats the palate with peat-kissed smoke and a briny maritime spine. Sherry-matured layers embrace dark fig, raisin, cocoa and burnt sugar, lifted by orange zest and spice. The texture is velvety oil with a gentle tannic backbone and a warming, 54.5% ABV kick. A long, smoky finish drifts with sea spray, ash and leather.
Finish
Long, maritime peat fades into dark sherry fruit, rich cocoa and toasted nuts. The finish dries slowly on oak tannins, leaving a refined saline sweetness, a touch of spice, and a subtle, lingering whisper of smoke.
