Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished gold with rich amber warmth, coppery highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Coastal peat unfurls with iodine, sea salt and a breath of smoke. Rich sherry sweetness emerges—fig, raisin and cocoa—tinged with orange zest, vanilla and toasted almond. A saline mineral core and a touch of leather ground the perfume, lending Brora’s signature austere elegance: maritime, smoky, and deeply aged.
Palate
On the palate, a measured peat smoke intertwines with briny sea spray and a luscious sherry sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and dark chocolate unfold into orange peel, toffee and nutmeg, all cloaked by oak and a touch of tobacco. The finish is long, warming and maritime, with lingering spice and subtle salt.
Finish
Long maritime finish of salt-kissed peat and iodine, eased by a delicate sherry warmth. The smoke fades to a waxy sweetness with dried fruit and almond, while briny sea notes linger in a refined, lasting echo.
