Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery glow and a dusky mahogany edge.
Nose
Peat smoke and sea air mingle with iodine and coastal brine, a classic Brora core. Sherry cask sweetness threads in dried fig, raisin, and dark chocolate, while waxy barley, toasted almond, and polished oak add depth. A refined, mineral perfume with a noble, lingering salinity.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied palate with coastal peat, sea-salt tang and a waxy sheen. Sherry influence lends dried cherry, fig and cocoa, lifted by orange zest and subtle spice, all wrapped in polished oak. The finish is long and refined—a smoky, saline fade with a whisper of espresso.
Finish
Long, maritime finish where smoky peat and sea breeze linger, slowly yielding to rich dried fruits, cocoa and toffee. Sherry depth adds sweetness and spice, with velvety oak supporting a final ember-soft wave of coastal smoke.
