Tasting Notes
Colour
A luminous burnished amber with a honey-gold core and coppery shimmer—a rich, mature bronze hue.
Nose
Salty maritime notes rise first—sea spray and brine mingle with peat smoke. Rich sherry cask influence carries dark fruit and treacle: fig, raisin, and orange zest, with cocoa and leather. Subtle iodine and ash sharpen the finish, while warm oak lingers, hinting at decades in cask.
Palate
Powerful, deeply peated and maritime in character, the palate unfolds smoky, mineral brine balanced by lush sherry influence. Dried fig, raisin and orange zest mingle with dark chocolate, toffee and spice, while oak lends structure. A velvety, full-bodied warmth from the strength lingers with salt-kissed, refined finish and echoes of tobacco and leather.
Finish
A long, refined finish that coasts from sea-salted peat to sumptuous sherry sweetness. Hints of dried fig and cocoa emerge, followed by peppery warmth and a soft, oaken echo, leaving a lasting, contemplative glow.
