A staggeringly rare vintage bottling of Glen Grant, coming in a at a mature 44 years old!

Rich sherry and mulled fruit on the nose with honey, oil and oaky spice. The palate is full and viscous wuth more sherried fruit, dark chocolate, treacle, leather and a faint charred smokiness. The finish is ful, rich and sweet with an almost endless length to it.

Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany undertone, a warm, sherry-kissed glow.

Nose

A bouquet of rich sherry and mulled fruit fills the nose, honeyed sweetness glinting with a glossy thread of oil. Subtle oaky spice adds warm, resinous depth.

Palate

Full and viscous on the palate, it delivers sherried fruit into dark chocolate and treacle, with leather and a whisper of charred smoke, all wrapped in honeyed oil and oaky spice.

Finish

An expansive, full finish that remains richly sweet, enduring with sherry fruit and treacle, then slowly fading to a velvety warmth with a hint of leather and faint charred smoke.

Glen Grant
(Glen-GRANT) Glen Grant was founded in Rothes in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant, and from the start it built a reputation around innovation as much as whisky. The Grants were involved in the development of the Morayshire Railway Company, helping improve transport through Speyside, and by 1861 Glen Grant had introduced electric lighting. A defining new chapter began in 1872, when James “The Major” Grant took over and expanded the distillery, introducing tall, slender stills and water-cooling purifiers that remain central to the distillery’s lighter, more elegant style.
