Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber, with a coppery-gold glow and mahogany edges.
Nose
Exquisite sherried depth with ripe dried fig and sultana mingling with orange zest and rich dark chocolate, all draped in polished oak. Notes of vanilla, toffee and almond add sweetness, while leather and a hint of tobacco thread through the velvet fruitcake-spice; an elegant, aged Macallan with refined, old-world warmth.
Palate
Velvet-smooth and richly sherried, the palate reveals plush depth. Dried fruits—raisin, fig and prune—mingle with orange zest, toffee and dark chocolate, lifted by creamy vanilla. Spices—cinnamon and nutmeg—drive through polished oak, a whisper of coffee adding ballast. Long, graceful finish with lingering fruit sweetness and refined oak.
Finish
An imposing, long finish of polished sherry sweetness, dark cherries and raisins, tempered by cacao and orange zest. The oak remains refined and warm, with elegant spice—cinnamon, clove, and a final whisper of leather and espresso-tinted chocolate that lingers.
