Back in the days when the Glenlivet name was used by many distilleries to signify the high regard of Glenlivet single malt and often used by distilleries with no connection to or indeed any link to the area of the Glen of livet in Speyside at all.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with luxurious copper highlights and a tawny mahogany edge, a sun-warmed bronze glow that radiates richness.
Nose
Opulent sherried nose with dark dried fruits—raisin, fig and prune—layered over polished oak. Hints of leather and toffee emerge, joined by orange zest, cinnamon and nutmeg, with cocoa and a faint coffee nuance from long aging. Rich, warm, and inviting.
Palate
Opulent and velvety on the palate, this Macallan unfurls a rich tapestry of dark fruit—fig, raisin, prune—alongside toffee and cocoa from sherry-cask maturation. Layered orange zest, vanilla, and warm spice (cinnamon, clove) ride atop polished oak. A mouth-coating, full-bodied sweetness with refined tannins leads to a long, warming finish, echoing treacle, leather, and polished wood.
Finish
Opulent, exceptionally long, this finish unfurls dried fig and raisin with dark chocolate and orange zest, underpinned by sherry spice and polished oak. A warm, lingering echo of leather and espresso frames the finale.
