Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with coppery, burnished-gold glow and a warm, honeyed sheen.

Nose

Fragrant lemon notes mingle with honeydew melon and a drizzle of demerara sugar. Red apple notes develop, complemented by grapefruit zest and a hint of walnut.

Palate

Citrus notes give way to guava, with hints of cured meat and dried mango emerging, complemented by toasted almonds and a spicy pepper finish.

Finish

Soft smoke lingers on the finish, with green apple, poached pear and a hint of spice.

(HY-land PARK) Highland Park was founded in Kirkwall in 1798, with the distillery tracing its start to Magnus Eunson, who obtained his first whisky-making licence that year. It remains one of Orkney’s best-known distilleries, and the island setting is central to the whisky’s identity, from the local peat to the maritime climate that shapes maturation.
