Bottled by North Star Spirits for the UK as part of the 10 Year Birthday Bottling series, this 2008 Glen Grant was released at 18 years old. Matured in a hogshead before a finish in Oloroso sherry, it was bottled at 56.1% ABV with an outturn of 184 bottles.
The Oloroso finish adds a richer layer to Glen Grant’s naturally elegant Speyside style, bringing dried fruit, nuts and spice while allowing the distillery’s lighter fruit character to remain in place. At 18 years old, the whisky has had plenty of time to develop, giving it a more polished and composed feel than a younger sherry finish.
