Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark, burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Powerful peat and coastal smoke rise with iodine and a tarry edge. Beneath, rich sherry notes of dark fig, raisin and plum mingle with cocoa, toffee and vanilla. Toasted oak and a touch of leather add depth, while subtle spice threads the aroma, hinting at age-softened complexity and coastal refinement.
Palate
Opulent and powerful, the palate offers coastal peat and sea-salt smoke, balanced by sherry-influenced fruit—fig, raisin, dark chocolate. Spice from cinnamon and clove intertwines with leather and polished oak, delivering a long, warm, resinous finish.
Finish
An expansive maritime finish of peat smoke and ocean salt lingers, carried by sherry sweetness and dried fruit. Cocoa, leather and spice unfold slowly, with warming oak underpinning a long, resinous aftertaste that fades to a soft, smoky ember.
