Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with burnished copper highlights and rich mahogany undertones.
Nose
Powerful peat smoke dominates, threaded with sea-salt brine and medicinal iodine. It clings to lacquered oak, then opens to dark dried fruit—fig and raisin with a hint of orange zest—layering cocoa, spice, and sherry-cask depth. A bold, cask-strength aroma with a long, smoky finish.
Palate
Powerful, full-bodied palate of dense peat smoke married to sherry-cask fruit — raisins, fig and dark chocolate. At 53.9% ABV the mouthfeel is rich and velvety, coating with an oily lacquer and a saline, maritime edge. Layers of leather, spice and espresso emerge, building to a long, warming finish of charred wood, tobacco and lingering sweetness.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with a maritime lift and rich sherry sweetness. Dried fig, cocoa and toasted spice unfold, weaving through saline air and ash, lingering as a warm ember of oak and peat.
