This exceptional single malt has been patiently nurtured for 40 years, developing an extraordinary depth of flavour and complexity. The whisky was finished in bespoke sherry casks, filled with a unique blend of Oloroso and PX sherries.

This results in an extraordinary single malt whisky with rich notes of poached plums and charred orange, dark cherries, warming spice, braised red apples, and a long, sweet finish.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich and fruity with notes of homemade strawberry jam and raisins. Luscious dark cherries are complemented by cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of sweet toasted oak.

Palate

Sweet layers of poached plums and charred orange progress to yet deeper notes of dark chocolate, braised red apples and sweet liquorice.

Finish

Long, sweet and rich with warming spice.

(Glen-LIV-it) Glenlivet Distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland and was established in 1824 by George Smith. It is one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland, having been granted one of the first licenses to produce whisky after the introduction of the Excise Act. Glenlivet’s name is derived from the glen or valley in which it is situated.
