Bold peat and medicinal iodine rise with sea-salt air, Caol Ila’s coastal core. Sherry-dark fruit—fig and prune—drift over warm vanilla and toasted oak, with a trace of espresso. The aroma carries a resinous coastal smoke that lingers, inviting a sip.

Palate

Powerfully peated, this Caol Ila floods the palate with sea-salt and iodine, a backbone of ash and smoke that clings like coastal mist. Sherried plum and fig ride toasted barley sweetness, while caramel notes add richness. At cask-strength 56.3%, the mouthfeel is velvety and warming, finishing long with peat, pepper and maritime smoke.

Finish

Expansive maritime finish with peat smoke mingling with iodine and sea spray, slowly dissolving into dark cocoa and toasted oak. At cask strength, a warming ember lingers, leaving resinous mineral undertones that persist with a final kiss of salt and ash.
