Caol Ila Chieftain's Manzanilla Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky 13 Year Old · 1993 Vintage

A distinctive 13-year-old Caol Ila independently bottled for Ian Macleod's Chieftain's collection. Distilled in June 1993, the whisky was given a Manzanilla sherry finish, a particularly well-suited partner for Caol Ila's maritime character, introducing additional dryness, nuttiness and savoury complexity alongside the distillery's characteristic smoke.

Bottled in August 2006 at 46% ABV from casks 90351 and 90352, the release produced 1,818 bottles. Un-chill-filtered and naturally coloured, this is an intriguing older Caol Ila that combines classic Islay peat with the dry coastal character associated with Manzanilla-matured whisky.
