Global Whisky has created Concept 8, a celebration of Asia’s centuries-old tradition of wealth, fortune and prosperity through a premium, yet affordable selection of 8 year old Scotch Whisky.
Release 2 is a small batch of only 8 casks from the Caol Ila distillery. All casks were filled together in August 2012 into American Oak hogsheads. The Caol Ila distillery is situated on the Isle of Islay and the Whisky has peaty, floral and peppery notes.

Colour

Nose
Briny Caol Ila peat rises in a coastal perfume—sea air and ash mingling with delicate florals, lilac and lemon blossom. A crisp peppery bite sits atop vanilla-tinged sweetness from American oak, yielding a bright, balanced aroma that hints at Islay's maritime smoke.
Palate
Soft peat smoke lingers with citrus zest and a sea-salt lift, inviting delicate floral notes. Mid-palate unfolds peppery spice and a whisper of vanilla from the oak, balanced by maritime iodine. The finish is clean and drying, with lingering smoke, a touch of sweetness and a refined Islay glow.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with subtle peat smoke and peppery spark, carried by a gentle floral lift. Vanilla-tinged oak sweetness lingers, then fades to a clean mineral, sea-salt note that leaves a refreshed Islay memory.
