Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany depth and a sunlit, ruby-tinged edge.
Nose
Opulent, sherry-kissed nose: dark chocolate and cacao nibs with orange marmalade, fig and raisin, glazed by toffee and vanilla. Rich spices—clove, cinnamon, nutmeg—layer over toasted oak, with whispers of espresso, leather and a candied peat nuance that lends elegance to this aged Islay malt.
Palate
Silky, opulent and deeply layered on the palate. Rich dark chocolate and fig paste mingle with toffee, espresso and dried plum, brightened by orange zest and a whisper of smoke. Sherried depth coats the mouth with creamy oak, baking spices and a touch of black pepper, finishing long with cocoa, leather and warm tobacco.
Finish
Long, opulent finish that coats the palate with dark chocolate and espresso, weaving through gentle peat smoke, fig and dried fruit, and a whisper of sea salt. Oak-derived spices shimmer as the warmth lingers, leaving a velvety, resinous coastal ember that slowly ebbs to a refined, lasting glow.
