Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery undertones and a wine-warmed, sun-kissed glow.
Nose
Salty coastal air and sea spray mingle with bright Bruichladdich malt. The claret-cask maturation releases red-fruit perfume: plum, cherry, currant, and a hint of strawberry. Warm vanilla and gentle spice rise over polished oak, with a subtle waxy lift, delivering a refined maritime aroma and wine-kissed elegance.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied with Bruichladdich’s unpeated coastal brightness, the palate opens to red-fruit richness from the claret cask—plum, blackberry and red currant—layered over smooth malt. Subtle vanilla and gentle spice weave through, delivering refined sweetness and a touch of oak. The finish is long and balanced, with a lightly tannic wine-warmth and a whisper of sea air.
Finish
Long, elegant finish built on red-wine fruit: cherry and plum weave with subtle fig and cocoa, carried by a whisper of claret sweetness. Coastal salinity and mineral brightness persist, with delicate spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—emerging before a warm, lingering fade that invites the next sip.
