With its 16-year age, the delightful impact of French oak harmonises flawlessly with the distinctive fruity and floral aromas that define this single malt.

Bright and fresh, mirroring the lively party atmosphere of Rock’ndaal itself, a medley of fresh tropical fruit is immediate on the palate, with ripe melon, honeyed peach, lychee and sweet mango coming to the fore.

Made with fully traceable organic barley, the single malt balances citrus freshness with a subtle mineral quality, nodding to its all-Islay maturation.

Bright golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a pale copper glow.

Nose

Bright tropical aromas rise with ripe melon, honeyed peach, lychee and mango, lifted by delicate florals. Citrus zest and a subtle mineral edge frame the freshness, while soft vanilla and honeyed sweetness from the bourbon–Sauternes cask influence mingle with refined French oak for a layered, inviting nose.

Palate

Bright and tropical on the palate, this 16-year Bruichladdich unfurls ripe melon, honeyed peach, lychee and mango with citrus zest. Bourbon and Sauternes casks bring gentle sweetness and floral lift, while a subtle mineral spine ties to its Islay maturation. Fresh, buoyant and remarkably persistent, with lingering tropical fruit and citrus.

Finish

Bright, lingering finish of citrus zest and tropical fruit—ripe melon, honeyed peach, lychee and mango—slowly fades with a delicate mineral bite. Subtly oak-touched, it reflects the bourbon and Sauternes cask influence and a coastal, Islay glow.

Bruichladdich
(brook-LADDIE) Bruichladdich distillery is the home of four different malts: the unpeated Bruichladdich, the heavily peated Port Charlotte, the even more peated (and rarely seen) Lochindaal and the super heavily peated Octomore. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers and at the time it was viewed as a very modern establishment.  It is situated in The Rhinns, in the west of the island, overlooking Loch Indaal. It ran under a succession of different owners including Whyte and Mackay and Murray McDavid before being purchased by Remy Cointreau in 2012.
