Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany and copper hues, a warm ruby glow.
Nose
Sherry sweetness mingles with Bourbon vanilla and Bordeaux fruit, releasing red berries and dark smoked fruit. An earthy, oak-driven backbone supports a layered, smoky Bowmore aroma, with the five-cask finish imparting depth and a vibrant, cask-strength intensity.
Palate
Powerful and mouthfilling at cask strength, this Bowmore delivers wave after wave of red berry sweetness and dark smoked fruit, interlaced with sherry richness, vanilla from bourbon, and Bordeaux-tinted tannins. Oak is present, earthy and refined, while coastal peat threads through, yielding a warm, velvety palate with a lingering, chocolate-soaked finish.
Finish
Long, resonant finish of ember smoke and red berries fading into lush dark fruit and sherry‑kissed oak. The peat lingers softly, carried by the bourbon and Bordeaux cask influence, leaving a maritime, chocolate‑toned warmth that persists with refined elegance.
