Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with shimmering copper edges and a bronze-tinged, sunlit glow.
Nose
Aromas of peat smoke with sea air and iodine rise, laced with lemon zest and orchard fruit. Vanilla, toffee and toasted oak mingle with a whisper of sherry sweetness, while raisin and spice add depth to a refined, maritime profile.
Palate
Coastal peat unfurls with a satin, slightly oily texture. Brine and ash mingle with toffee, orange zest, and dark chocolate, aided by subtle sherry-derived dried fruit. The sweetness is refined, tempering the peat into sophisticated balance. A salt-kissed finish lingers with spice and a final wisp of smoke.
Finish
Long and maritime, the finish carries gentle Islay peat framed by sherry sweetness. Smoke lingers with sea-salt, cocoa and dried fig, wrapped in warm oak. A refined, resinous fade beyond the palate, with subtle bitterness that maintains elegance and lasting warmth.
