A distillery-exclusive release for Feis Ile 2014 from Bowmore, this was bottled in 2014 at cask strength of 56.1% ABV with an outturn of 1,000 bottles. Matured in bourbon casks, it was produced as a festival edition for the Islay week.
The bourbon maturation brings vanilla, soft spice and gentle oak influence to Bowmore’s coastal, peated character, balancing smoke, sea salt and malt richness.

Colour
Golden amber with coppery sheen and a sunlit honey glow.
Nose
A coastal, peated aroma with vanilla and soft spice opening, backed by gentle oak. Sea-salted smoke lingers over malt, delivering a refined balance of sweetness and maritime depth.
Palate
On the palate it unfolds with creamy vanilla and caramel from bourbon casks, caressed by soft spices and a gentle oak lift. Bowmore’s coastal peat and sea-salt mingle with malt sweetness, yielding a smoky, briny core that lingers with refined sweetness and a salted, coastal finish.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with coastal smoke and sea salt lingering beside vanilla sweetness and soft spice, underpinned by gentle bourbon-oak. Malt richness sustains a warm, elegant fade.
