Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich copper-amber with mahogany depth and a warm, lacquered glow.
Nose
Intense peat smoke and iodine drift over a sea-salted frame, mingling dried cherry and fig with cocoa, caramel and a whisper of sherry. Vanilla, leather and tobacco lend depth to the mineral Islay aroma.
Palate
Velvety peat and smoke envelop the palate, backed by coastal brine and a waxy, luxurious mouthfeel. Rich dark fruit—prune, fig, and subtle cocoa—unfold with spiced warmth, hints of clove and black pepper, and a toasted oak sweetness. The finish is long and refined, carrying iodine and ash into a lingering peat-laden farewell with leather and maritime resonance.
Finish
Long and coastal, the finish carries smoky peat, sea-salt and iodine, fading into dried fruit and leather. Sherry depth lingers like warm embers, with dark chocolate and a whisper of ash, tapering to a refined, persistent echo that captures the quiet power of Islay.
