Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a warm red-gold core, shading into rich mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Initial wave of peat lingers, a smoky foundation that remains at the fore. As it breathes, red wine notes emerge alongside marzipan sweetness, caramel toffee, raspberry jam and a playful hint of Eton mess, weaving into a rich, dessert-like aroma.
Palate
Peat lingers on the palate, mingling with caramelised sugar and toffee apples. Red-wine notes deliver stewed rhubarb and crisp red apples, while a buttery biscuit sweetness threads through, finishing with toasted vanilla and a gentle smoky glow.
Finish
Long, sooty, and smoky, the finish glows with burnt embers that linger. Dry oak vanilla tannins frame the finale, while subtle phenolic antiseptic notes recede, leaving a crisp, lingering smoky echo.
