Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Smoked toffee unfolds with sooty barbecue and a coastal tang, mingling with hints of rum baba and sea spray. Dark tea leaves lend depth as baked apples stuffed with rum-soaked raisins introduce a warm, fruity sweetness that hints at the forthcoming Sherry richness.
Palate
Tarry toffee greets the palate with sweet smoke and aromatic sherry wood, as old tea chests and smoked dark chocolate intertwine with rum raisin. An oily, malty mouthfeel carries BBQ meat and savoury notes, finishing with coal smoke.
Finish
Tarry and sooty, with terriyaki glaze and BBQ smoke lingering, complemented by rum-soaked raisins, a cooling menthol lift and smoked toffee.
