Tasting Notes

Nose

Old leather, dark honey, ripe figs, hints of earthy smoke, aromatic spice, antique oak, sweet raisin and marzipan.

Palate

Dry and earthy to begin then reveals spicy dark fruit, red berries, aromatic tobacco, leafy/forest floor notes, toasted oak, smoked treacle toffee.

Finish

Dark fig jam, chewy sherried oak, black cherry, marzipan on christmas cake that has been close to a coal fire, more leather and smoked treacle on a long finish.
