Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with burnished copper hues and a honeyed, sunlit glow.
Nose
Towering peat smoke cloaks a creamy vanilla- and oak-scented core from the bourbon-then-Chardonnay casks. Bright orchard notes—green apple, pear, lemon zest—sparkle beside almond, toffee and spice. A coastal, mineral edge and a whisper of sea salt hover in the background, all carried by a bold, cask-strength presence.
Palate
Bold peat frames a richly textured palate: vanilla and coconut from the bourbon cask mingle with Chardonnay’s bright orchard fruit—green apple, white peach, lemon curd—plus creamy vanilla and a touch of almond. Maritime smoke lingers, finishing long, warm and intensely cask-strength.
Finish
Long and persistent, the finish unfurls smoky peat with a touch of coastal brine, then opens to creamy vanilla, ripe citrus and orchard fruit from the Chardonnay cask, finishing dry and nicely peppery with lingered oak.
