Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense amber-gold with a coppery shimmer and rich mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent sherry from ex-Oloroso casks swirls with dark fig, raisin and date; cocoa nibs, toffee and almond marzipan form a glossy sweetness. A thread of peat smoke adds a subtle iodine, maritime lift, while vanilla and oak lend warmth and depth. Luxurious and inviting, the nose fuses rich sweetness with a smoky edge, hinting at both decadence and balance.
Palate
Opulent and robust, the palate opens with rich sherry fruit—fig, raisin and burnt orange—woven with treacle and cacao. Layered oak and spice rise, tempered by a gentle peat smoke and maritime salinity. A velvety, warming backbone carries toffee, dried fruit and clove, finishing long with citrus zest.
Finish
Long, luxurious and warming, the finish lingers with rich Oloroso sweetness—figs, candied orange and cocoa—intertwined with a whisper of peat smoke. Oak-driven spice and velvet tannins carry a lingering warmth that remains with you.
