Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber with bronze-tinged edges and a honey-gold core. A warm, aged patina that glows with depth, inviting and luxurious as it catches the light.
Nose
Salty coastal air, seaweed and iodine rise, sharpened by brisk peat smoke. Rich sherry lends dark fruit sweetness—figs, raisins, cocoa—against waxy oak. A hint of leather and orange zest adds refinement, finishing with incense and a maritime peat that lingers in Brora’s old-library depth.
Palate
Silky yet muscular, this Brora delivers dense peat smoke with coastal brine and a sherried sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and cocoa mingle with caramel and spice, while iodine, leather and toasted oak provide a savory backbone. The mouthfeel is smooth and warming, finishing long with sea-salt, smoke and a lingering note of dark fruit and spice.
Finish
Long maritime finish, where Brora’s signature peat and sea-salt linger alongside a sherried sweetness. Dark fruit, cocoa and toasted oak unfold gradually, with a whisper of spice and warm embers that fade to a refined, lingering glow.
