Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-golden glints and a dusky mahogany edge, a sunset-hued glow.
Nose
Sea-salt and coastal peat rise first, a plume of iodine and smoke that drifts over a softly sherried sweetness. Notes of dried orange peel, walnut, and cacao deepen, while vanilla-caramel and a whisper of leather lend warmth to the finish.
Palate
Soft peat and smoke with a briny, coastal bite; sherry influence coats the palate with fig, raisin and cocoa. Rich vanilla and leather add depth as maritime notes mingle with a gentle ash, finishing with warm, persistent heat.
Finish
Long, maritime finish; saline peat lingers with iodine and sea spray, softening into sherry-dark fruit and cocoa. The smoke gradually ebbs, leaving warm wood, waxy sweetness, and a final whisper of salt.
