Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, sunlit amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Powerfully maritime and peated, Brora unfolds with coastal iodine, sea spray and smoky peat. Waxy sweetness anchors a resinous core, while sherry notes lend dark fruit, almond and cocoa. Leather, mineral brine, and a whisper of citrus complete a refined, lingering nose.
Palate
Silky and slightly oily, the palate opens with coastal peat and sea-salt iodine, tempered by sherry sweetness. Rich dried plum and fig mingle with dark chocolate and espresso, while nutty oak threads through. The mouthfeel coats the tongue with a warming, velvety texture, finishing long, smoky and refined, echoing Brora’s seaborne character.
Finish
Long and maritime, the finish threads peat smoke with salt air, slowly softening into lush dried fruit and dark chocolate notes from the sherry. Leather, tobacco and spice drift in the background as the warmth lingers, leaving a clean, smoked-wood glow that declines to a gentle, ember-soft echo.
