Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark golden amber with a touch of copper.
Nose
Powerfully maritime, with sea spray and iodine cutting through a deep veil of peat smoke. A sherried sweetness unfolds—dark fig, dried apricot, orange zest—woven with toffee and vanilla, all kissed by polished oak. The aroma holds a smoky, coastal gravitas.
Palate
Silky, waxy mouthfeel opens to a disciplined Brora peat, a maritime smoke that carries iodine, sea-salt and mineral brightness. Dark fruits mingle with sherry‑oak richness, hints of almond and honey, and a subtle resinous sweetness. The palate is refined and full, delivering a long, drying finish of smoke, coastal brine, and warm oak spice.
Finish
Stately, lingering finish where coastal peat and briny sea air give way to subtle sherry sweetness. The smoke stays refined and integrated, drifting through cocoa-dusted oak, dried fig, and a final whisper of warmed spice that lingers long on the palate.
