Armorik That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #1 Single Malt French Whisky 7 Year Old
In stock
As France’s first EVER whisky distillery, Armorik married traditional scotch production with a few years of experimentation. Then, they reached out to Dr Jim Swan who reviewed their equipment and techniques, proposing a series of small changes like adjusting the angle of the lyne arm.
This, the first Batch from That Boutique y Whisky Company has been matured in a unique & delicious Breton Oak cask. The oak grown is in the local area of Brittany (represented on the label by a cooper constructing a cask). This is essentially a virgin oak cask, charred before usage.
The label depicts the Veneti (Gaulish: "the kin, the friendly ones") were a Gallic tribe who lived in Armorica, now known as Brittany. The scene is set deep in the forest of Gaul with a still for the cauldron and fields of barley in the background. The white swan is a nod to the late Dr. Jim Swan who gave the distillery guidance, reviewing their equipment, and techniques, proposing a series of small changes.
