Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and hints of mahogany, a warm, honey-gold glow.
Nose
Ex-Sherry influence floods the nose with dark plum, fig and raisin, balanced by cocoa, caramel and orange zest. Toasted almond, vanilla and a touch of leather drift through, while cinnamon and clove spice the air; a warm, resinous oak backbone lingers, hinting at bold, long-matured sweetness.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, the palate pours thick with sherried richness. Dried fig, raisin and date mingle with dark chocolate, espresso and caramel notes, lifted by orange zests. Spiced oak and black pepper weave through a long, warming finish, leaving polished tannins and a hint of almond.
Finish
Long, velvety finish saturated with Sherry-driven dark fruit—plum, fig, raisin—nurtured by cocoa, toasted almond and spice. Oak and a whisper of espresso linger, while a maritime saltiness eases into a warm, caramel-kissed fade that gradually dissolves into refined, lingering warmth.
