Unique in its lightness and complexity the medium-bodied Armorik is matured over 10 years firstly in bourbon casks then oloroso sherry casks. This expression of Armorik reveals an innovative progression of the fruity character typical of Armorik: a balance between power and roundness enhanced by an explosion of exotic fruits with a hint of pepper.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Powerful yet refined, this nose balances fruitiness and pastry. Exotic fruits mingle with almond croissant, enhanced by a hint of vanilla caramel for a warm, confectionery bouquet.

Palate

Lively attack of citrus. Then the roundness emerges with an explosion of fruit and maple syrup.

Finish

Very long and fruity, with a hint of pepper.

Armorik
Armorik is produced by Distillerie Warenghem in Lannion, Brittany, founded in 1900 by Léon Warenghem. The distillery first built its reputation on liqueurs and regional spirits before moving into whisky under Gilles Leizour, filling its first whisky casks in 1983 and launching WB Breton blended whisky in 1987. A dedicated whisky distillery followed in 1993, with Armorik Single Malt officially launched in 1998 as the first single malt from Brittany and France.
