Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with tawny, mahogany undertones and a warm ruby glow.
Nose
Opulent, port-aged aromas sweep from the glass: dried figs and cherries, plum and raisin, all bathed in luxurious port sweetness. Vanilla, toffee and dark chocolate mingle with caramel and oak spice—cinnamon and clove—while a note of leather and orange zest adds depth to a warm, resinous finish.
Palate
Powerful and sumptuous on the palate, this Port-cask whisky coats the tongue with dark fruit, plum and raisin folded into caramel and melted chocolate. Red-berry brightness sits beneath toasted oak as cinnamon and clove spice thread through the rich sweetness. At 60% ABV it delivers a warming, peppery bite that fades to a long, velvety finish.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with Port-drenched fruit notes of raisin, fig and plum lingering with dark chocolate and caramel. Toasted spice and polished oak weave through, delivering a warm, lingering sweetness that softly fades into a refined red-fruit tail.
