The Lark Distillery Berry Bros & Rudd - Tasmanian Cask Whisky 4 Year Old · 2016 Vintage
In stock
Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2021 at 60.2% ABV, this Tasmanian single malt from Lark Distillery was released by independent bottler Berry Bros. & Rudd after four years of maturation in oak casks. The whisky was created from a marriage of three small 100-litre casks and yielded 373 bottles.
Founded in 1992 by Bill Lark, the distillery is widely credited with reviving whisky production in Tasmania and helping spark the modern Australian whisky movement. Independent bottlings of Lark are relatively uncommon, making releases such as this particularly interesting for collectors and enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Citrus fruits abound on the nose; giving way to softer fruits, such as peach and apricot, and aromas of an older Whisky - leather and a touch of tobacco.
Palate
The palate is powerful yet subtle. Notes of vanilla and spice from its hot climate maturation. But behind this, there are layers of complex fruits and malty notes of lychee, strawberry jam and jackfruit.
Finish
The finish would suggest a much older Whisky with musty fruity notes lingering long on the back palate.
