The Lark Distillery Berry Bros & Rudd - Tasmanian Cask Whisky 4 Year Old · 2016 Vintage
In stock
Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2021 at 60.2% ABV, this Tasmanian single malt from Lark Distillery was released by independent bottler Berry Bros. & Rudd after four years of maturation in oak casks. The whisky was created from a marriage of three small 100-litre casks and yielded 373 bottles.
Founded in 1992 by Bill Lark, the distillery is widely credited with reviving whisky production in Tasmania and helping spark the modern Australian whisky movement. Independent bottlings of Lark are relatively uncommon, making releases such as this particularly interesting for collectors and enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a warm honey-brown glow.
Nose
Citrus fruits leap from the nose, bright and zesty, giving way to softer peach and apricot. Underneath, an aged whisky whisper—leather and a touch of tobacco.
Palate
Powerful yet refined on the palate, with vanilla and spice from the warm Tasmanian maturation. Underneath, a tapestry of fruit and malt: lychee, strawberry jam and jackfruit mingle with a malty, creamy core, unfolding slowly to a lasting, nuanced finish.
Finish
A remarkably mature finish that lingers on the back palate, with musty fruity notes softly persisting and fading into subtle leather and tobacco—an impression of an older whisky despite its four-year age.
