The Corowa distillery, founded in 2010 has been built in an old heritage listed flour mill that was built in 1924, in the heartland of New South Wales, by the banks of the Murray River. This Corowa is a 4 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, thats been matured in an ex-Tawny (Australian Port) cask.

Tasting Notes

Colour

A rich amber with tawny, coppery highlights and a warm reddish-gold glow.

Nose

Rich raisin and fig lead the nose, with prune and orange zest weaving through caramel-malt. Toffee, vanilla and toasted almond mingle with warm cinnamon and clove, while subtle cocoa and leather emerge from the ex-Tawny oak, adding a seductive, port-tinged depth.

Palate

Silky and luscious, this 4-year-old delights with Tawny-cask influence: fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, caramel and toffee, and a gentle spice of cinnamon and clove. Velvet mouthfeel, balanced by oak and a light espresso note, leading to a warm, cocoa-dusted finish.

Finish

Silky and warm, the finish lingers with port-soaked fruit, fig and raisin, drifting into toasted almond and caramel with a velvet oak spice that fades to a gentle, satisfying warmth.
