This whisky was originally matured in two small Ex-Tawny Port casks, before being moved to an ex-Pinot Gris cask, a rare sight in whisky production. Being located so close to the Adelaide vineyards, Tin Shed are perfectly poised to experiment with unusual cask types such as this.

Colour
Warm amber-gold with coppery highlights and a tawny glow.
Nose
Rich, fruit-forward aroma: tawny Port cask notes unfold as dried fig, toffee and caramel, while ex-Pinot Gris influence brings orchard brightness—ripe pear, white peach, a whisper of citrus zest. Subtle almond, vanilla, and gentle spice weave through a delicate floral lift.
Palate
On the palate, a tapestry of dried plum, fig and caramel from the Tawny cask, brightened by orchard fruit—pear and white peach—from the Pinot Gris. Whispered citrus zest, vanilla cream and a gentle spice ride a creamy, medium-bodied texture, finishing long with honeyed fruit and subtle oak.
Finish
Long, elegant finish lingers with raisin and fig sweetness from the tawny port, brightened by pear and citrus zest from the Pinot Gris finish. Velvet spices—cinnamon and clove—twine through warm oak, ending in a refined, lingering glow.
