Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with burnished copper-gold highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Powerfully peated yet elegant, the nose unfurls with maritime peat smoke, salted caramel, and briny sea air. Layered within are dried fruits (fig, raisin), dark chocolate, and a sherried sweetness, mingling with iodine, ash, and a whisper of vanilla oak.
Palate
Silky and poised, the palate reveals dark fig and plum from the sherry cask, braided with Islay peat and sea-salt brine. Rich chocolate, caramel and espresso fold around toasted oak, a whisper of leather, and maritime smoke that carries to a long, warming finish.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with peat weaving through dark fruit and cocoa, a touch of leather. Sherry-cask sweetness softens the smoke, leaving a warm maritime echo that evolves into a refined, resinous dryness.
