Octomore 12.3 is single vintage, single field, single malt. 75% was filled into ex-American whiskey casks, while the remaining 25% spent five years maturing in genuine Pedro Ximenez Solera casks from Jerez bodega Fernando de Castilla. The PX casks bring a luxurious dried fruit style, sweet and rich. This layers beautifully with the rich phenols and light marine notes.

Nose
Powerful peat and smoked barley rise with a brisk sea breeze. The PX influence layers dried fruits—figs, raisins, dates—with rich toffee and caramel sweetness, lacquered by dark chocolate. Underlying phenols add resinous depth, while a faint vanilla and oak warmth anchors the aroma. A coastal, briny lift lingers, inviting further aeration.
