Nose

Incense-rich wood opens the nose, unfolding into dark fruitcake, black bean and soy sauce, and leathery, old nutty sherry. Blood orange brightness frames the depth, while dark chocolate and coffee liqueur linger in a lush, indulgent aromatic stage.

Palate

Silky, oily texture coats the palate with resinous wood and warm aromatics; sherry-soaked dried fruit and ripe figs drift in dark honey, while spicy nuts and dark marmalade mingle with chocolate and star anise. A thread of subtle smoke lingers, hinting at smoked, cured meat for depth and balance.

Finish

Chewy and mouthfilling fig and date with smoke from burnt toast, honey glazed meat (the charred bits!) sweet mustard like heat and leathery/savoury nuts soaked in dark sherry.
