Glencraig (silent) G&M 125th Anniversary Release - Single Cask #9686 Whisky 44 Year Old · 1975 Vintage
Out of stock
Since 1895, Gordon & MacPhail has been driven by a simple mission: to create single malt Scotch whisky of exceptional quality. Through four generations of family ownership, the company has matched spirit from over 100 Scottish distilleries to its own casks, creating exceptional whiskies found nowhere else in the world. To celebrate this landmark chapter in Gordon & MacPhail’s rich history, four commemorative whiskies will be released in 2020.
To mark this special anniversary, casks have been selected casks from distilleries that are closed, or from makes with stills no longer in existence. All these whiskies are consigned to history and Gordon and Macphail are now releasing their very last stocks from each. Never again will these rare whiskies be bottled under the Gordon and MacPhail name.
Glencraig was produced at Glenburgie Distillery throughout the 1960s and 1970s on a pair of Lomond stills. Traditionally used for blending, it is only rarely available as a single malt, especially as production ended in 1981. This release is from the last cask of Glencraig to have matured in Gordon & MacPhail's famous warehouse.
