Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery sheen and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Rich sherry notes sit beneath polished oak, with dried apricot and fig pairing with walnut and toffee. Vanilla and almond whisper through a silky spice, cocoa dust and a touch of burnt sugar, shaping a velvety, well-matured nose that hints at the quiet elegance of Glencraig’s 1970 vintage.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied, the palate offers creamy nougat and orchard fruit sweetness. Nutty vanilla and honey mingle with dried plum and gentle sherry, unfolding into toasted almond and subtle spice. The finish is long and elegant, with oak, cocoa, and a final kiss of warm spice.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of dried fruit and dark chocolate, with sherried raisin sweetness deepening into orange zest and toasted oak. A warming, spicy tail lingers, gently drying with espresso hints.
