Tasting Notes
Colour
A rich deep amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Aromas of rich sherry influence, dark fruits—prune, fig and raisin—lingering with burnt sugar and cocoa. Hints of orange zest, vanilla, and almond mingle with toasted oak and a whisper of leather, while gentle spice threads through, yielding a warm, elegant bouquet.
Palate
Silky and sherried, this Glencraig coats the palate with orange zest, dried fig and plum, and a touch of dark chocolate, finished with toasted almond. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts in the background as polished oak lends structure. The finish is long and refined, with fruitcake sweetness, nutty depth, and a warm, resinous echo.
Finish
Long, creamy finish with a luscious wave of dried plum and dark chocolate, punctuated by orange zest and gentle spice. Sherry influence lingers at the back of the palate, carried on polished oak and a whisper of smoke, evolving into a warm, dignified fade.
